Alingon Mitra at Second City’s UP Comedy Club, 230 W. North Ave., 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.  Alingon Mitra is a writer for The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. He has appeared on Last Comic Standing, Conan, Late Night with Craig Ferguson and was a writer for The Harvard Lampoon as a college student.

LaSalle, 7:30p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Brian Babylon’s work include’s Comedy Central’s Why? with Hannibal Buress, NPR’s Wait Wait …Don’t Tell Me!, BBC Radio, The Moth StorySLAM in Chicago, Inside Amy Schumer and guest host on Windy City Live. He is a Chicagoan and is also known as “The Prince of Bronzeville.”

How the Beatles Nearly Ruined My Life and David Bowie Saved It at The Skokie Theatre, 7924 Lincoln Ave., 8:00 p.m. Tonight and tomorrow afternoon.  Multi Emmy-award winning television icon Wild Chicago‘s Ben Hollis asks, “When is it too late to become the person you want to be?” The answer is at 35. No! It isn’t! Perhaps it’s never too late! Come hear Ben’s very personal, honest, funny, moving answer(s). You won’t guess what he has to say- gotta go to the show! (I saw a preview and this is truly a special show-not to be missed!)

Simmer Brown Comedy at Bughouse Theater, 1910 W. Irving Park Rd., 8:00 p.m. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. for reception for prepaid ticket holders only. Another reason to buy tickets now: tickets are usually sold out in advance. Tonight: Headliner: Sam Norton (Fox’s Laughs). Special Guest Host: Sherman Edwards (Fox’s Empire). Extended set from Simmer Brown producer: Prateek Srivastava (NBC Breakout Comedy Festival). With guest sets by Allyssa Bujdoso (Swig Whiskey Mixer), Rima Parikh (Second City) and more TBA.

Fuck Trump: A Collection of Songs to Demonstrate What a Horrible Person Trump Is at The Annoyance Theatre, 851 W. Belmont Ave., 8:00 p.m. Through May 27. Directed by Mick Napier.

Jury Doody at The Comedy Clubhouse, 1462 N. Ashland, 7:30 p.m. A Main Stage theatrical and a long form improv piece which “flash[es] forward and backward into the lives of 10 unlikely jurors to see how we are more alike than different. Nine professional comedians play 118 characters in a story packed with wild fantasy, unlikely heroes, and a hint of the 90’s.” Saturday nights.

Group Improvised Comedy at Comedy Clubhouse, 1462 N. Ashland, 10:00 p.m. Long form improv (20-25 minutes) by three teams of up to 10 improvisers, each based on an audience suggestion. John Cleese and The Holy Grail at The Chicago Threatre, 175 N. State St., 3:00  p.m. John Cleese talks about his career, followed by a screening of Monty Python and the Holy Grail and an audience  Q&A. Interesting fact: John Cleese earned a law degree from Cambridge University. He never practiced law, though. He met Graham Chapman in law school and the rest is comedy history.
