MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 17

Clickhole Live! at The Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia, 7:00 p.m. ClickHole writers present stories and funny PowerPoint presentations.

John Roy at Zanies, 1548 N. Wells, 8:00 p.m. John Roy grew up in Rogers Park and Evanston and went on to win first place on CBS’ Star Search. He is a nationally touring headliner and will be at Zanies in Chicago through Wednesday and early next week. Follow link for all details.

iOCN Movie Night at iO, 1501 N. Kingsbury, 8:00 p.m. The iO Comedy Network presents new sketches from Chicago and Los Angeles teams, independent works and a Q&A with film/tv/video industry guests.

Manic Music Mondays at Frances’, 307 E. 75th St., 8:00 p.m. Comedy and music hosted by Taneshia “Just Nesh” Rice (HBO, Comedy Central) and Marilee.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18

Conversations in Comedy with T. Sean Shannon at Museum of Broadcast Communications, 360 N. State St., 6:00 p.m. T. Sean Shannon talks about his Emmy Award-winning career at Saturday Night Live. He’ll be interviewed by WGN’s Justin Kaufmann. Starting at 6:00 p.m., you can tour the museum’s SNL exhibit. Discussion at 7:30 p.m.

Goodbye Stranger at The Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia, 9:00 p.m. Tyler Jackson takes leave of the Chicago comedy scene and he’s invited his favorite colleagues to perform with him: Sarah Mowrey, Andy Fleming, Adam Burke, Olivia Perry, Erin Grotheer, Brandon Kirkman, Joe Fernandez, Bill Bullock, Arish Singh, Rudy Schultz, Samantha Berkman, Billy Dean, Tom Wisdom, Natalie Grace Alford, Toler Wolfe, Lily Emerson and Charlie Malave, Shrimp Boys, Cameron Gillette, Mike O’Keefe, Kaitlyn Grissom.

Chicago Underground Comedy at Beat Kitchen, 2100 W. Belmont, 9:30 p.m. (Happy Birthday!) Meredith Kachel hosts Audrey Jonas, Megan Stalter, Matt Brown, Marty DeRosa, Jonathan Euseppi, Hobert Thompson and Richie Owens. One of Chicago’s most famous stand-up showcases.

 

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19

Two Headliners Night at Zanies, 1548 N. Wells, 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. John Roy at 7:30. Sean Patton at 9:30 p.m.

Just Us Gals at Sleeping Village, 3734 W. Belmont, 8:00 p.m. Live comedy and music party. Comedy from Deanna Ortiz (The Lincoln Lodge), Aaron Branch (PREACH), Brittany Meyer (Strip Joker) and Joe McMahon (Just For Laughs Montreal). Musical guest: Glitter Moneyyy.

 

Comedians You Should Know at Timothy O’Toole’s, 622 N. Fairbanks Ct., 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Two weekly shows to choose from this month. At 7:00 p.m., twelve comedians audition for a chance to be part of this nationally renowned stand-up showcase. The 9:30 p.m. line-up is Comedians You Should Know. Blake Burkhart will host Rudy Schultz, Nate Burrows, Calvin Evans, Allison Dunne, Joe Kilgallon and Kelsie Huff.

 

Teacher Jam at iO, 1501 N. Kingsbury, 10:00 p.m. Five iO students get on stage with five iO teachers.
